  The Mold Design course starts with developing an understanding of plastic features and mold parts. You will then learn about the process of splitting parts into mold features, automatically, manually, and a combination of the two. We will then cover, creating fill and parting surfaces and finally mold forms. Next you will develop an understanding of the various Mold Design Tools, and how they can be used. Lastly, the different types of mold bases that can be assembled, standard versus non-standard, plates only, or a combination will be covered as well as the ability to compose your own mold bases using standard components from catalogs.
   
  OneSpace Designer Modeling users who are creating or working with plastic parts that will be molded. Mold Base and Design capability requires the appropriate application license to be enabled for operation at your site. This is also a great class to evaluate the extended capabilities of OneSpace Designer Modeling's Mold Base and Design modules.
   
  Prior completion of a Beginner's Modeling or SolidDesigner course. Note: The Mold Design & Base modules require appropriate licenses in order to be enabled.
